President Donald Trump has removed Kristi Noem as Homeland Security Secretary in a cabinet shake-up.Ms Noem, who previously served as Governor of South Dakota, will be replaced by Markwayne Mullin to lead the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees agencies such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice).The shake-up, which takes effect on March 31, was announced by Mr Trump, who said Ms Noem would serve as a “special envoy for the shield of the Americas” leading a new security initiative across the western hemisphere.The President praised the outgoing secretary while confirming the move, saying she had delivered “numerous and spectacular results”.
