Andy Burnham’s former Night Time Economy Adviser has launched a scathing attack on Sir Keir Starmer, branding him “the most hated Prime Minister of my lifetime”.Speaking to Camilla Tominey on GB News, Sacha Lord said “virtually anybody” would prove a superior Labour leader to the current Prime Minister.Asked by Camilla if Andy Burnham would be a better leader of the Labour Party than Sir Keir, he admitted: “Well, the simple answer is yes, he would. I think anyone would, to be honest, because he’s the most hated PM of my lifetime”I watched your program this morning, Camilla, and frankly, I felt sorry for the Labour MP. He’s been given lines, he has to sit there and say these lines – and if he was linked up to a lie detector, I think it’d be spiking all over the show.”

He argued: “There is no way on earth he believes Keir Starmer will be Prime Minister at the next general election, not a chance.”Mr Lord also voiced deep concern for Labour councillors across Greater Manchester, warning they face electoral devastation on May 7 through no fault of their own.He explained: “It’s an impossible situation. I worked all my life in Greater Manchester, and when I’ve been putting on my festivals and events, I’ve got to know a lot of the Labour councillors.”And I am so worried for them, Camilla, come the seventh of May, because they are hard-working people, and through no fault of their own, they’re going to lose their jobs.”Come the seventh of May, they’re going to be completely wiped out. And after that, I think that’s when there’s going to be a leadership bid, and it is totally unfair. This is coming from the top down, a fish rots from the head, and Starmer just has to go.”Delivering his verdict on Mr Burnham being blocked from standing as an MP, Mr Lord condemned the manner in which he was prevented from standing, describing it as evidence of the Prime Minister’s “weakness” and cowardice. He said: “Well, I think this just shows how weak and (cowardly) the PM is.”You know that Sunday morning, before the NEC actually met, that the MPs and the ministers were all over the news say we’re going to put our best team player forward? He read it in The Guardian, Camilla. That is appalling. No one picks up the phone for him.”How has he responded to that? He’s out knocking on doors. That is the class of the man, and it just shows where the Labour Party is at the moment.”On the recent allegations of Labour activists paying for a “smear campaign” against journalists, Mr Lord told GB News: “They’re canceling elections, and I’m reading in the press that they’re trying to dirty journalists by paying thousands to dig it up – that’s not what we want.”He turned his fire on Chancellor Rachel Reeves, accusing her of abandoning the high street despite repeated assurances during the election campaign. He recalled that Reeves had personally told him on multiple occasions she would be “the Chancellor of business and growth”.He said: “No, people want our high streets to be supported. Where is the support from Rachel Reeves, who on more than one occasion during the election, told me she was the Chancellor of business and growth?”It’s simply not the case. I thought she would come in and support the pubs, the small restaurants, the independent bars, and so our high streets are devastated.”Our Standards:
